According to the 2021 State of Homelessness report, the United States faced a rise of homelessness across the country before the COVID-19 crisis even began. The report, conducted in January of 2020, considers more than half a million unhoused people across every US state and territory and of every age group, ethnicity, race, and gender.
Driven by a desire to help those in our communities without the stability and safety of a home, Cognitive Consulting donated funds to the Sanctuary Supply Depot in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An all-volunteer group, the Sanctuary Supply Depot provides supplies directly to those without a home. The vital supplies they distribute include shelter (tents and tarps), sleeping bags and blankets, lanterns, basic hygiene and first aid, water, and snacks. Cognitive’s donation paid for multiple large tents, providing critical shelter to those experiencing homelessness.
With colder months approaching, the need to support unhoused people only increases. In donating tents this year, Cognitive hopes to promote the spirit of giving during this holiday season and beyond.
